Frequently Asked Questions

I hope you find what you’re looking for here. If I don’t answer your question on this page please contact me and I promise to reply quickly!

Q: Do you include full resolution digital photo files in your packages?

A: Yes! You will receive full resolution JPEG format images in an online gallery for all session types ( I.E. Family, Newborn, Portrait, Couples, etc…) Our Wedding Packages come standard with a complimentary flash drive containing all of your full resolution JPEG format images, as well as an online gallery with an option of smaller Web formatted images for easy sharing with Friends and Family via Social Media and E-mail.

Q: How long will it take to edit our photos?

A: It all depends on the type of session we have and the amount of time we spend together during the session. Small sessions will be processed much quicker than a long wedding day. At maximum – 4 weeks for smaller sessions and between 10-12 weeks for a wedding day. We also do sneak peaks on our Facebook and Instagram pages – usually the same or next day! Because sometimes it’s just to hard to wait to see a few 😉

Q: What is the process to book you for our wedding day?

A: If you are interested in having me shoot your wedding, awesome! The first step is to contact me with some basic information about you and your big day! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about the wedding day packages, or if there is anything you would like to customize, in this email. We can discuss more details via email, set up a phone call or meet to chat in person, depending on your location, if preferred. Once you are ready, you can secure your photography for your wedding date with a signed contract and a non-refundable deposit.

 Q: What should I/we wear ?

A: Newborn session- Light coloured, flowing dresses or tops, be comfortable and avoid red as it often reflects onto the babies already pink skin. Onsie’s and light coloured swaddles are great!  Family & Couples sessions- be prepared to sit in the grass or cross a stream… if you’re worried about a special article of clothing getting dirty then don’t wear it. I’m here to capture moments and connections, while yes, what you wear is important, it’s ultimately emotions that I’m after!

Q: Where should we go?

A: This is probably the most frequently asked question I receive. I do have many locations that I’ve worked with and can definitely recommend some if you’re stuck, I prefer to shoot at a place may hold some meaning to you. i.e: your favourite place to hike or walk the dog, an old swimming hole, your Grandpa’s farm or at home. This will give your photos more meaning and you’ll cherish them for years to come!

Q: What should we do at our portrait session?

A: Try doing something that everyone enjoys. Play in the sprinkler or jump in the lake! Go for a walk, bike ride or go sledding in the winter followed by a cup of hot chocolate. If you allow your kids to play during a family portrait session, I promise that beautiful things will happen! for info & tips about getting the most out of your session click HERE!

Q: What inspires your work?

A: Beautiful light. Emotional interactions. Subtle touches. Honest and unassuming moments… I could literally go on forever here.

Q: I see that you are located near Peterborough, but my wedding is located somewhere else. Are you able to still photograph my wedding?

A: Yes, we love to travel! Contact me if you are interested in having me photograph your wedding anywhere outside the Southern Ontario region and we’ll discuss the details! I am also open to doing destination weddings – so even if your located across the country, or out of the country, get in touch!

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: I am a very simple photographer. For me, it’s all about connections. Not complicated posing and intense compositions. I focus on what’s in front of me and translate that in honest and unexpected ways.
